Autobiography
My name is Khai and I reside in Petaling Jaya together with my lovely wife, Yuenn. (Near Kuala Lumpur - the exciting capital city of Malaysia)
I make my living online as an author, copywriter, E-zine publisher, Internet marketer, blogger, product creation strategist and an E-consultant in the comfort of my own home wearing the clothes I sleep in most of the time.
I also own over a hundred blogs in multiple niche markets and I have a team of writers that are working for me at the same time to the point that I can outsource all my work so that I can remove myself from my business and let it run on autopilot.
Not bad, for a college dropout who used to work 9 to 5 for USD350 (RM1,200) a month.
This is my story of how an average Joe like me who has never had any online experiences, went from ZERO to making a 5-Figure Monthly Income in a short span of 10 months.
My Claim To Fame!
If I could summarize my ’special powers’ into a single line, I would say that possess the super natural ability to create written products at a blazing fast speed.
I have created HUNDREDS of info products, specializing in quality e-books on topics such as Internet marketing, copywriting, sales training, marketing strategies, self- improvement/motivation, lead-generation, network marketing, web 2.0 and low cost, high profit Internet business models.
The E-books I write are mostly sold on the Internet, in particular - the resell rights, private label rights industry and the Internet marketing industry. I also hold the record for creating the most full-fledged E-books in a single month without hiring any ghostwriters! (15 E-books to be exact and I’m still trying to break this record).
(Check out the testimonials from my fans and satisfied customers!)
Look, I’m not trying to brag… I just want to show you that an average Joe like me can live the lifestyle of owning a home business, working whenever I want to and have lots of quality time to spend with my wife on a daily basis. The only difference between me and other average Joes and Janes is that I’ve built my business entirely from scratch with my bare hands (8 months) with hard work & perseverance! (And of course, choosing the right industry while working smart at the same time)
Many told me that I’m quite lucky to live the lifestyle I’m living (carefree and happily married!) at the age of 27… but having a ‘good’ life comes with a hefty price! Because I ran into many grueling obstacles to get to where I am today…
My Journey Begins - Wandering Around Aimlessly In The Wilderness

I am a college drop out. I dropped out from an Information Technology (I.T.) course due to lack of interests. I don’t regret dropping out from college because I wouldn’t trade my career and lifestyle today to become a highly paid wage slave.
All I wanted to be… is an entrepreneur.
You see, every entrepreneur’s journey has humble beginnings. being poor in my studies I actually struggled with WRITTEN assignments - my lecturers condemned me saying that I will never earn a living as far as writing is concerned… I still couldn’t imagine myself being a writer today!
So what did I do as a college dropout? Very simple - I got a J.O.B…
I soon found work as a computer technician and I had a taste of what it was like to work in a J-O-B. It was totally unrelated to what I am doing now (people tend to confuse Information Technology with Internet Marketing thinking that Internet is part of information technology - IT is more into systems but I-M is more into entrepreneurship and marketing).
Although it was a pretty decent 9-5 job, I soon realized that as an employee, you can only achieve so much while the government sucks your money dry through taxes. Your boss slaps your butt like a pony while you live by the stick or the dangling carrot. Either way, I knew that I hated life as a wage slave and I wanted to BE MY OWN MAN.
My friends were really unsupportive - telling me all about how competitive the market is and how difficult it is to succeed as an entrepreneur. Do you know what the worst thing? The fact that they insisted that THEY have analyzed all the possible routes and concluded that THEY cannot succeed - therefore I shouldn’t succeed as well.
Thank God… I never listened to them.
I may not be as sharp as many other entrepreneurs out there, but I was willing to learn things the hard way and ride through many bumps (obstacles) on the road to success. I had no idea what to do or where to go, but all I had was a decision to get started…
At the end of that year, something happened to me that CHANGED MY LIFE - I joined my first MLM company.
10 MLM Companies and Countless Other ‘Business Opportunities’ Later…
This is a picture of all the MLM companies that I joined (more than 10) including other business opportunities such as real estate, insurance and countless other talks I’ve heard about Forex, Options, sales, real estate, insurance and even motivation seminars…
After I left my MLM companies, I started going back to employment as a sales rep.
Along the way, I learnt more about sales and marketing while working as a sales rep in various banks and in music schools (I play the guitar and piano so I thought I was the right guy to sell them
) as their marketing manager.
Although I never applied any real marketing techniques during my tenure, I learnt all about the difference between sales and marketing (more than just being push and pull principles) by doing all the grunt work as a sales person (doing door-to-door sales and making the dreaded cold calls).
The Discovery - You CAN Make Money Online!
During July of 2006, my very first exposure to marketing and the online world came while I was with another network marketing company.
I was one of the pioneers there. I gave sales presentations and I was one of their certified trainers.
They dealt with digital products and it was marketed online and offline. They introduced a training course called Magnetic Sponsoring by Mike Dillard and I learnt a lot about marketing principles. Magnetic Sponsoring was instrumental towards my transition from a sales person to a marketing guy.
It was quite a paradigm shift.
November 2006 was a very memorable month because I met an Internet marketer named Edmund Loh for the first time.
For those of you who are not acquainted with Edmund, he is one of the leaders in the Internet marketing industry (as far as resell rights and private label rights are concerned). I met him through my brother at an A&W restaurant. My brother claimed that Edmund has a lot of experience in network marketing having joined many companies but is now in Internet marketing lots of money online.
I perceived him to be an expert networker turned Internet marketer and I couldn’t wait to meet him and learn all about his networking experiences. It turned out that Edmund joined only ONE network marketing company (not my brother’s fault - information can get distorted along the way…) but it was one of the most important meetings in my life.
I wanted to learn more about marketing on the Internet and I asked whether he could teach me all about it. Instead, he told me to buy Sen Ze’s Internet marketing books.
I bought Sen Ze’s books and started learning everything about Internet marketing through his blog and his sales letters. I studied his work on a daily basis. Unfortunately, cash was in short supply because of all the mistakes I made on my quest to entrepreneurship and although I was hyped up about making money online, I hadn’t a clue what to do next.
Even though I was at a loss, I still held on to my belief that the journey of a thousand failures would bring me success one day. That is the difference between losers and winners - losers hate to fail and bear the shame while winners reach their goals one failure at a time.
My First Successful Joint Venture

In my very first month as an Internet marketer, I had a joint venture with Edmund and together, we made more than USD$2,000 within 24 hours. After that breakthrough, I realized that I could develop my writing skills and I started learning about Internet marketing from other Internet marketers by working as a ghostwriter, copywriter and blogger.
In less than a year, I’ve successfully built my business to the point that I will never need to work in a 9-5 job ever again! Business was booming and I’ve also became one of the most sought after product creators working together with high-profile Internet marketing speakers and trainers.
The Importance Of Setting Your Goals
Even as I was earning a comfortable living online, I still had to put up with negative people and I was struggling to manage my time as well.
This was what I learned.
The difference between a successful person and a wannabe can be spotted easily - those who ’someday’ hope to start their own business will always tell others that, “someday, I hope to do this or that.” Unfortunately for them, someday will never come. All they do is brag to others about their ‘big’ plans because it sounds good.
Do you know why, they failed? It is because they NEVER take SERIOUS action to work out their goals.
I still have friends stuck in their 9-5 routines hoping to quit their job someday and stand on their own two feet. When I talk to them, they still give excuses like the market is too saturated, it’s too difficult, the economy is bad, they are having a baby… they will probably be employed for the rest of their lives.
That’s because they failed to take action and blame everything and everyone else but themselves.
YOU MUST Stay away from negative people.
Don’t let others steal your dream!
These are the kind of people who will give you ‘good’ advice by telling you to abandon your dream and stick to employment. They think that just because they don’t have the balls to succeed on their own, they think that YOU shouldn’t succeed as well. (Indirectly implying that you are not as smart as I am and if I can’t do it, what are your chances?)
My philosophy is don’t give a damn what others say about you - as long as you CHOOSE THE RIGHT VEHICLE and WORK HARD & SMART, you will get to your goals eventually.
I believe that everyone should have a mission statement.
Most large corporations have solid mission statements that sets the direction of the company. Why should we not have one to direct our personal life? Why leave life to chance?
Khai’s Mission Statement For His Life
To Achieve Extraordinary Success In A Holistic And Balanced Approach To Every Aspect Of His Life:
- Income Goal - To Make A 6 Figure Monthly Income On The Internet On Autopilot By December 2010 (current status - 5 figures only)
- Family Goal - To Raise A Family Built On Caring Principles And Mutual Personal Development (current status - happily married)
- Career Goal - To Publish My Own Physical Book, Appear In Newspapers, Appear On A Prominent Magazine (accomplished), Featured in a book and appear on TV.
- Health Goal - To Achieve 9% Body Fat By January 2009 And Build A Body Of Solid 6 Packs (Current Body Fat Percentage Is 24%)
- Spiritual Goal - Strengthen My Faith In God And Increase Public Awareness For Churches On Topics Such As God-Centered Entrepreneurship & Spiritual Empowerement (Self-Improvement)
My goals progressing well and on schedule - I urge all my readers to develop personal mission statement as well.
As a Christian, I truly thank God for all that He has done for me and for bringing the right people in my life. Life is full of struggles, and in spite of going through hell on earth, I thank God that bad things happen for a reason and they usually turn out well in the end.

Matt,
I won’t consider myself ‘very’ successful as I still have a long way to go, but I know one thing is for sure:
Life is reciprocal. You get what you give. It is the same with time. The more time you give to your success, the more time will reward you in the future. Luck can only get you this far.
Whether you are new or seasoned in Internet marketing, it doesn’t matter. It is what you make of your time now that will determine your future. Look at it this way - the harder you work, the ‘luckier’ you get.
At the end of the day, I don’t want to be known as a person lucky because of meeting the right people but rather lucky because I have the chance to help people.

Hi Hazel!
I’m glad my life story inspired you.
I sincerely hope my story will inspire those who keep on complaining about bad luck (in their lives) to do something about their predicament. Sometimes, ‘good luck’ will only get you THIS far. Sometimes, you have to get rid of people who bring you bad luck (negative people who will ridicule you if have a dream bigger than theirs).
This is my personal quote:
Only Losers Blame Everything On Bad Luck. Learn to Change Your Perceptions, Attitudes And Work Ethics And Watch As Good Luck Beats A Path To Your Doorstep!

Your success is both inspiring and motivating. It is easy to relate to your advice and marketing techniques as it is simple and practical.
I have a question. What do you do, when you know what to do, and how to do it, but lack the motivation to take action?
