I like applying this marketing principle and I believe in it very strongly - it is the ability to market your product your own way, even if it goes against what the majority believes.

Here is a case study on how this company - Fermented Grape markets their products:

Fermented Grape is an online wine selling business that has pending licensing in 16 states and they have established their distribution channels in Hong Kong and Ireland.

They sell wines that are handcrafted by boutique wineries located in Sonoma and Napa Counties of Northern California. These regions contain established production facilities which also happens to be the greatest wine producing region of the world. In fact, when you look at the wine produce in the states, 80% of wine are actually produced in this region alone proclaiming their supremacy in the wine industry.

Now as we all know, having the best product in the world means squat if you do not have an effective method when it comes to marketing your product. There’s this old saying that goes - create a better product and your customers will beat a path to your doorstep, right?

This statement is no longer true as 21st century marketing has become more competitive than ever, with customers being bombarded with endless advertising online and ‘offline’. You need to be able to communicate your value to your prospects if you want to stand out.

Here’s how Fermented Grape executes their marketing formula:

You see, what makes their marketing angle so unique is that they use cartoons to stand out from amongst the crowd.

They claim that their company is being snubbed by typical wine enthusiasts and they have applied a unique expression depicting their attitude. You see, most corporate establishments forget that their customers are human beings. They need to relate to them by tapping into the ‘human touch’ and let people know that they are not stiff corporate suits who are out to get their money. Corporations who emphasize the need to connect with their customers on a personal level will no doubt gain an advantage in the market.

If you observe the cartoon logo on Fermented Grape’s website, you will see a fun looking ‘grape’ that they use to convey the fact that the company is a fun loving company that goes against the wine establishment’s kind of logo - it shows that they are promoting a different attitude towards wine buying and drinking.

A terrific marketing strategy indeed!

Their philosophy is simple. They aim to communicate the fact that wine drinking can be a really fun affair as people gather together and taste great wines - reminding them of the beauty and the splendor of the region of Sonoma and Napa County.

Even though I may not be wine enthusiast, but after looking at their website I feel compelled to take up wine tasting as a hobby… Ha ha!

The good news is, there is a way to ‘borrow’ credibility in advance – by using private label rights.

Private Label Rights of PLR is a special form of rights given to products such as books, audio recordings, graphics and even videos.

With PLR, you can:

Re-brand an E-book and claim yourself to be an author (legally) of the book
Rework a set of graphics to brand yourself and your name (a PSD file is provided)
You can even brand yourself as the creator of a series of videos by simply slapping your name as the producer.

In network marketing, one of the fastest ways to gain credibility is without a doubt, publishing your own book. This method is often more credible compared to flashing a bunch of commission checks because of the skeptic nature of human beings (if they don’t trust you they will suspect you of forgery)

When you have a book that educated people about network marketing, straightaway your credibility increases and people will perceive you to be an expert instantly.

But creating an E-book is not an easy task. You will need to write well (or spend thousands outsourcing), create the graphics for the E-cover and you need to be armed with all the knowledge to come up with the content.

When you have PLR rights to a professionally written E-book, you can drastically cut short your product creation struggles by 99% by just branding yourself as the author of the book and changing the book cover to be re-titled with your very own name.

The best thing about PLR books is that you can distribute it to your network of downlines and your prospects. Standard network marketing practice requires most reps to distribute other people’s books like Copycat Marketing 101 or Rich Dad, Poor Dad. But with PLR books, instead of branding someone else, you and your downlines will be branding you as an expert, even while you are not actively distributing your book.

In short, your market potential is at least 100 times the size of a ‘make money online’ niche which is heavily congested.
