Niche Marketing Ideas - Part 2

Where To Look For Good Niche Markets

Although there is a bigger market in other niches, you have to be very clear what niches will work for you.

I understand the fears of starting a niche site. If you are starting your very first niche site, I’m sure that there are a number of questions in your mind:

(1) What domain name do I buy
(2) Where can I get the most affordable hosting
(3) What MARKET should I target
(4) What keywords should I target
(5) What how do I monetize my traffic?
(6) How do I automate everything and move on?

In order to look for a good market, you should always start with your PASSION. Target the very things that you feel you are an expert at.

(Note: When I mean expert, you don’t have to worry how many other experts there are out there. As long as you know stuff that 5% of the world’s population don’t know, you are already considered an ‘expert’ After all, there are lots of niche marketers out there who probably know more about niche marketing than I do, but I don’t care… it’s your own business at the end of the day)

Let’s say you are in to the ‘cooking niche’.

If you want to make money with cooking, you can do a search on Google for the keyword - ‘cooking blog’ or ‘cooking forum’ or ‘how to cook’.

These are great keywords that will give you an idea of what the market is like out there. If you were to look through their support forums, discussions and threads that deal with these issues, you will get an idea of what people are looking for.

If they can’t find the answers, then BINGO, you have a BIG market waiting for you right there!

When you start with things you are good at, you are able to provide value for others. And when people perceive that your site provides value, you don’t have to worry if you don’t have the credibility to back you up.

After all, content is king. And don’t worry if you can’t write articles, you can always outsource, post pictures on your blog or even record a YouTube video.

Any excuse that you can’t do certain things is just that - an excuse no matter how justified it may sound. Excuses and profits do not go hand in hand unless you have alternative methods of getting your profits.

Sit down and make a list of niches that you can contribute information. When you are passionate about your niches, you will spend more time and get better results (after all, it doesn’t seem like ‘work’).

In the subsequent parts, we will talk about how to tackle those 6 questions.
