Social Proof Why Malaysians Should Be Making Money Online Via Blogging

There are lots of Malaysians secretly making thousands of dollars on the Internet - a fact that is largely ignored by the Malaysian public.

Malaysians are also susceptible to trends just like anyone else - meaning that they will only consider a business opportunity when many others are getting involved in it or when their friends started making money from it.

Ask yourselves this question:

How many seminars and talks have you attended that has truly changed your life?

I know one which might…

Blogging is the key to financial freedom and residual income

My friends Melvin Ng & Steven Wong are running one of the most affordable seminars in the heart of KL/PJ and I had a chance to preview their content.

It is a hands on Blogging Boot Camp that is designed to help any technical dummy to start their own blogs and help existing bloggers increase their profits using a turn-key Search Engine Optimization (SEO) blueprint.

I also happen to be a real life testament to their blogging techniques. I’ve comfortably retired from ever needing to work in a 9-5 job because I’ve used some of their methods to create a network of blogs (assets) that is generating me a 4-figure income on autopilot (not including my other sources of income from writing). So if someone tell me that you can’t make money with blogs, then we’ll see who gets up and drive to work every morning.

(I don’t mean to brag, but I’m driving this point in because a lot of people out there are in need of a SERIOUS reality check about the potential of online marketing.)

If you haven’t started an Internet marketing business or you lack the motivation of starting one, then here’s 5 reasons why you should…

(1) Blogs toppled the Malaysian Government

The downfall of the ruling party - their failure to get a 2/3 majority in the general elections is widely publicized in the news.

It is not a secret that the opposition coalition has been using Blogging, YouTube, Social Marketing, Web 2.0 and Viral Marketing to spread their campaigns around.

Those who say that blogging doesn’t make money or influence anyone should learn from the politicians.

If you don’t have a blog today, you are outdated.

(2) Some of the tools you use everyday are gold mines and you don’t know it

Do you use Google a lot?

How about YouTube?

FaceBook as well…

Yep, the stuff that you use on a daily basis has been used by bloggers to make money massively and drive tons of traffic to their websites as well.

(3) Insurance, MLM and Real Estate Opportunities are going out of style because of oil price hike

These are great industries to be in and you can earn a lot of money from each and every one of them. After all, Malaysian is supposed to be a land of opportunity, right?

At one point in time, everyone wanted to join the MLM band wagon. There are lots of people getting into the insurance industry, others becoming real estate negotiators and so on…

But I notice that the trends are shifting. For one good reason:

Petrol Prices.

The state of the Malaysian economy NOT good.

The recent increase in oil prices by RM0.80 is going to turn a lot of industries inside out and the scary thing is - the salaries of most Malaysians are NOT going to match the price hike.

Yup, a hundred Ringgit can barely fill a tank for my Honda CRV.

It’s NOT COOL to be driving all over town to meet clients (buying them lunch) and getting caught in traffic jams that drains your petrol.

Blogging is definitely IN because of it’s LOW COST model and LOW MAINTAINANCE. You can even get a blog started with less than a hundred Ringgit.

(4) Low Cost High Profit Businesses

With people spending less money because of the economy, they tend to take less risks. They just don’t have the stomach for it.

Take the food industry for example… it’s getting more and more competitive (e.g. the price of rice going up).

It’s hard to dump a hundred thousand dollars for a business with no guarantee of return of investment.

Even for FOREX & other stock market ‘opportunities’, you still have to come out with lots of capital.

If I had that kind of capital, I would rather invest in a team of bloggers and create a few hundred blogs.

(5) Large corporations are turning to blogs

Blogging gives large corporations ‘a face’.

In the past, corporations are considered impersonal and structured - very hard for the common buyer to interact with them.

Now with the rise of blogs, people are able to relate to them and check new updates every now and then.

It’s time to generate some passive income.
