The Quest To Become The Laziest Man On Earth
I feel compelled to write this blog post is because of some personal struggles I’m facing with the Internet marketing lifestyle.
Here’s why…
Over the last for months, I’ve made more money than 2 year’s worth of income combined before that!
I’m saying this at the risk of sounding like a braggart - believe me… this is NOT my intention. On the contrary, it is more of a lamentation because I bewail the fact that if I had worked HARDER to be lazier, I wouldn’t have to wait 2 years to get the results I’m having today.
2 years ago, I written a blog post called cash flow 101 and Internet marketing.

Back then, I was slogging my butt off as a ghostwriter, writing E-book after E-book trading time for money in order to ’survive’ the first initial gruelling months in my Internet marketing business. Today, barely write anything.
Once I’ve made ‘enough’ cash, I started concentrating on creating my own products, launches and outsourcing. Give me what I know now and put me in my body 2 years ago, I bet I would’ve created huge projects, but that is another story…
This is my biggest reward and also my biggest setback because while I’m getting more efficient business wise, I’m getting personally inefficient (skill wise, not business wise) as I no longer work as though I’m going to starve to death tomorrow and it is quite hard to get back the ‘killer edge’ to create more products and make more money.
The point is, that even though I was working really hard at that point in time, mass producing E-books and articles everyday, I was earning far less from what I’m doing today because I made the biggest mistake - I was working HARD at my work rather than working HARD getting lazier (or in other words, working smart…) Imagine what I can do if I can BOTH work and AND smart at the same time… that would be a killer combination
So how does this lesson work out for you? Well…
They say that realization is normally the best form of education… and it was this realization that woke me up.
“Hard work is easier for most people! Ironically, they would rather bust their hides putting in the hours, rather than think of ways to free themselves from the drudgery”
When you really ponder this irony, it really makes sense because people with an employee mindset would rather:
- Wake up early in the morning to drive through heavy traffic
- Have their boss tell them what to do everyday
- If their bosses fail to tell them anything, they would rather wait for their paycheck
Believe me, I’m far too lazy to drag myself out of bed that early in the morning…
The point is we have to be able to work smart enough to the point that we can physically remove ourselves from active involvement in making money.
Embracing 21st century marketing methods may not come easy for some people because we were told since we were young that lazy people are not entitled to riches… especially people who are brought up in the generation where they were indoctrinated with the fact that you have to study hard, get good grades, get a good job and work till you are 60…
That’s old school thinking and it will not work in the 21st century.
There is NOTHING WRONG with laziness per se.
Think about it… if you are so hardworking, why invent the telephone? After all, carrier pigeons worked well for the past few centuries. With the way people text messages today over our cell phone, I’m surprised that they don’t overwork the carrier pigeons to death.
Or why bother driving cars? Why not just walk to work? Or why bother with the microwave? We can stick to wooden stoves or ovens, etc…
No… laziness is the DRIVING FORCE behind innovation and creativity - the quest for better living begins when men thinks about ways to cut down on cooking, hunting, washing their clothes, walk to another city, etc… I think you get the idea…
So why can’t we implement these ideas in our Internet marketing business?
Believe me… I assure you that it is no different online.
Here’s what I did. My lazy instincts kicked in and I thought to myself, why bother working hard to find out new ways to make money online when you can imitate successful marketers, products and their ideas for your own?
I’ve compiled 15 of the best ideas from 15 very sharp marketers into a single book called 15 Product Creation Ideas You Can Copy.
If you are too lazy, to figure out how to make money online by coming up with your own ideas, just buy this book and it will save you a tremendous amount of time and money.
So let’s work harder to become lazier!
